The two books of Wieniawski Etudes (op.18 and op.10) are a must for any violinist: Op. 18 can be played either alone (first violin part) or as a duo, which also hones chamber music skills and a more acute sense of balance and phrasing earlier on!
Op. 10 is more virtuoso and should be easier to tackle by this time, having completed all the previous etudes: The only difference is their extended range in terms of notes (there are some high positions which are not normally be used in other repertoire), but for the selected etudes that are normally regularly performed - which we have analyzed below - the guides will tackle each individual etude's technical and musical challenges (the technical side of which have mostly been covered by previous etudes).
